Costumes and Makeup

Makeup

Adults and teens need to wear basic stage makeup for this show so you don’t look washed out under the lights. We will not have a makeup person backstage so you will need to apply your own makeup.  If you need to buy stage makeup, we recommend going to “The Crazy Neighbor” store in Boise.  They can help you get makeup that is matched to your skin tone.  A basic Ben Nye kit should do just fine for this show.  Here is a link to their stage makeup page on their website.  https://shop.crazyneighbor.biz/makeup/stage/

Children can wear regular street makeup.  Blush is definitely needed for both boys and girls.  Girls can also add a tinted lip gloss and/or mascara if they want to but it’s not required.  

Hair

Women’ and girl’s hair should be pulled back away from your face so we can see your expressions.  This could be a half-up/half-down look or some version of pony tails or braids if it is appropriate for your character.  

Men and boy’s hair needs to be neat and styled as you normally wear it.  

Grandparents need to add gray to your hair (if not already gray) and wrinkles to your makeup.

Here is the list of things that we are asking actors to provide.  If you need any help acquiring these items, please text Lesley Bidwell (208) 851-1233 by October 16th and we will make sure to organize these items for you. 

All other costume pieces will be provided for you.
